Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 RTW
Pretty pink paper-chains on the Louis Vuitton runway last week in Paris. Mais, c’est un papier lune, Monsieur Jacobs…oui? Paper — pliable, light, communicative…what else do you know that has such similar characteristics? Jewelry that looks like it came from the stuff of trees, or even recycled newspapers; the concept has inspired studio artists. There is an exhibition ongoing at Aaron Faber Gallery that must be seen, if not only for reasons fashionable. Apparently, the idea will hold court at least until this Fall.
